Lens & Spects

We've been at Chasmawala House for quite a while now. It's tucked right behind Vihar Cinema on Pratapnagar Road. If you know the area, you know how busy it gets around here with the movie crowds and the traffic. Our place, Lens & Spects, isn't fancy or anything, but we keep it tidy. Most days it’s just us handling the frames and checking the lenses. People come in mostly because they live nearby or they're passing through after a film. We spend a lot of time adjusting screws or cleaning up the glass cases. It gets a bit dusty with the road being so close, so someone is always wiping something down. We aren't trying to be the biggest shop in town. It's just a steady flow of work. Sometimes the lights in the shop flicker a bit when the cinema's big sign kicks in. It’s a small space, filled with boxes of different frames and some old machinery that still works perfectly fine for what we need. We drink a lot of tea while waiting for customers. Usually, someone’s relative stops by to chat while we’re working. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us who know where everything is kept. If you’re looking for the latest styles, we have some, but mostly we have the reliable stuff people actually wear every day. It’s a simple setup at Pratapnagar Road, nothing more.
