L & T Ecc Division

Our office is out in Khodiyar Para in the Kalavad area of Jamnagar. It’s a bit of a distance from the main city center, but it puts us closer to some of the project sites. The area is also known as Shitla locally. It’s a dusty part of Gujarat, especially when the wind picks up. L & T Ecc Division set up here because it was practical. Our building is a simple structure that gets the job done. We have a few rooms for the engineers and a bigger space for the storage of tools and equipment. The sun is really strong here, so we keep the shutters mostly closed during the afternoon. We don't have a lot of fancy technology, just the basics like a couple of PCs and a printer that sometimes jams. Most of the staff are locals or have been here long enough to feel like they are. We usually have lunch together and talk about the local cricket matches or the weather. It’s a very relaxed environment, but we still make sure the work gets finished. We don't go in for big corporate speeches. We just check the blueprints and make sure the materials are being delivered on time. It’s a simple life and a simple office, which suits us just fine. Everyone here knows what they need to do, so we just get on with it.
