Shree Hari Horticulture Nursery

Out here in Kandari, specifically in the Karjan area, you’ll find Shree Hari Horticulture Nursery. It’s mostly plants and dirt around here, which is exactly how we like it. We spend our days outside, tending to whatever is growing at the time. It isn't a clean job—your hands are always in the soil and there’s always something that needs watering. We started this nursery because we liked the land here. Karjan is a decent place for growing things, and we’ve got enough room to spread out. It’s quiet compared to the city, which is nice for the plants and for us too. We don’t have a fancy showroom. If you come by, you’ll just see rows of saplings and a few of us working in the sun. It gets pretty hot during the summer, so we have to be careful with the water. We handle the daily tasks of pruning and potting without making a big fuss about it. People from around the neighborhood stop in when they need something green for their yard. We don’t do much advertising; word just travels around Kandari. It’s a lot of physical work, but seeing things grow makes it worth it. We just keep doing our bit every day, making sure the nursery stays healthy and the plants are doing okay. That’s about all there is to it for us.
