Kamaludin S Tai

My name is Kamaludin S Tai. My business is located on the first floor of the Nisar building. We are right on the highway that goes between Vadodara, Changodar, and Bawla. It’s a very busy route with a lot of transport going back and forth. Being on the first floor means I get to see all the action from my window. It’s a bit of a climb up the stairs, but it’s worth it for the space we have. I started this because I wanted to be my own boss. It hasn't always been easy. Some months are slow and you worry a bit. Other months you have more work than you can handle. That’s just the nature of it. I spend a lot of time on the phone coordinating things. The office isn't decorated much. I have my desk, a few chairs for visitors, and my files. I think it’s better to focus on the work than on how the room looks. Most of my clients are people who work in the industries along the highway. We talk shop and get things moving. It can get dusty with the trucks outside, so I’m always wiping down the desk. I’ve been in this spot for a good while now and I know the local rhythms. It’s a hard-working area and I’m just trying to keep up. Just another person trying to make it work in a busy world.
