K. S. Patel & Co.

K. S. Patel & Co. is located in the Shirke Building, right in the heart of Dandia Bazar. This part of the city has a lot of history, and you can feel it when you walk through the narrow streets. Our office is in an older building, so it has those high ceilings and thick walls that you don't see much in newer constructions. It’s a bit of a climb up the stairs, but once you’re inside, it’s a quiet place to work. We spend most of our time at our desks, going through files and talking to the people who come in to see us. We don't have a fancy reception area or a coffee machine for visitors. If you come by, we just pull up a chair and talk face-to-face. We’ve been in this spot for years, and we know almost everyone on the street, from the guy who sells snacks downstairs to the other business owners nearby. Sometimes when the power goes out, which happens now and then, we just open the windows and watch the chaos of the bazaar below until the lights come back on. We don't do much advertising at all. Most of the people we work with have been coming to us for a long time, or they heard about us from a neighbor. It’s a traditional way of doing business, rooted in the local community. We just keep things moving along steadily.
