K. Hasssaram Co.

Our place is on Jawahar Road in Raopura. It’s one of those busy streets where something is always happening outside the door. K. Hasssaram Co. has been around for quite some time now. Raopura is an old part of the city, so the buildings are close together and the lanes are narrow. We see a lot of the same faces every day. It’s more of a traditional way of doing things here. We don't have a big fancy sign or anything like that. People mostly know us by name. The traffic on Jawahar Road can be a real headache in the afternoons, especially with the rickshaws. We just stay inside and handle whatever work comes our way. The office is old, maybe needs a bit of paint, but it feels like home to us. We’ve got old furniture and a lot of ledgers. It’s quiet inside compared to the street. Most of our day is spent talking to old clients or just keeping the shop tidy. It's not a complicated life. We like being in Raopura because it feels like the heart of the town. There's a certain way of doing things here that hasn't changed much in years. We drink a lot of tea while we work. The fan on the ceiling makes a clicking sound but it keeps us cool. We don't plan on moving anywhere else. This spot has served us well for many years. We just keep going.
