Our setup is located at S-35 in the Samarpan Society, which is right on Vadsar Road in the GIDC area of Vadodara. It is a pretty busy industrial zone, as anyone who lives around here knows. We handle the technical and engineering side of things for the steel operations. It’s mostly about keeping the machinery in good shape and making sure the production lines don't run into trouble. We aren't a big corporate office with fancy furniture. It’s a practical space where we keep our tools and our records. The days can be quite long, especially when the weather gets really hot in the summer months, but we just get on with it. We spend a lot of time looking over technical drawings and checking the output of the factory. It’s honest work and we try to do it well. Some of us have been here for years, so we know the equipment inside out by now. If something breaks down, we are the ones who have to figure out why and get it fixed as fast as we can. We don't have a mission statement or anything like that. We just show up, do our jobs, and try to make sure the steel work stays on schedule. It’s a bit noisy and dusty sometimes because of the location, but that’s just part of being in GIDC. We are just a local team doing what we know how to do.
