Our small setup is located near the Makarpura S.T. Depo, which is a very noisy part of Vadodara because of all the buses coming and going at all hours. We are in the Gajanad Apartment building, unit B-5. It is a bit of a tight space, but we have managed to fit everything we need for our daily operations inside the walls. Working in Vadodara is good because the transport links are right there, making it easier for us to move goods. Sometimes the traffic on Makarpura Road makes it really hard for deliveries to arrive on time, but we just deal with it as it happens and try not to get too stressed. We spend most of our time at the desks or checking on the small inventory we keep in the back room. It is mostly just a few of us here. We don't do much in terms of advertising; people usually find us because they live nearby or work in the industrial zone and saw our sign. The building is older, and the stairs are a bit steep for some. I usually get here around nine in the morning and stay until the sun goes down and the street lights come on. We have some tea in the afternoon and talk about what needs to be finished for the week. It isn't a glamorous job, but it pays the bills and keeps us occupied. We try to stay organized, though sometimes papers pile up on the table. Living and working in this part of town means you get used to the city sounds.
