Jay Somnath Const. M/S. L&T Ltd (Ecc Divn)

We are based out of Goverdhan Park Society-2 in Vadodara. The office is at D-9, right near Sadhu Vaswani High School. It’s a residential-feeling area which makes it a bit calmer than the main industrial zones. We work with the ECC division of L&T on construction projects. Most of our time is spent looking at site plans or dealing with equipment lists. It’s a lot of coordination. We’ve got a small group here who knows the local roads and suppliers. The New VIP Ring Road is close by, so getting around isn't too bad most of the time. We aren't a huge operation with hundreds of people in this specific office. It's just a few of us making sure the construction side stays on track. We drink a lot of tea and talk about the current jobs. There’s always something that needs fixing or a delivery that’s running late. That’s just the nature of construction. We don't use big words to describe what we do. We just build things and manage the bits and pieces that go into a project. It’s a lot of phone calls and checking on progress. We like being in Harni; it’s a good community. We just keep at it every day. It is hard work, but we are used to it by now.
