Jalaram Clinic

If you know the Panchvati area in Gorwa, you probably know the bus stop. We are right across from it in the Akash Ganga building, specifically at D 3. Being near the Panchvati bus stop means there is always something going on outside. People are always getting on and off buses, and sometimes they just pop in to ask a quick question about their health. The clinic is basically one room with a small space for people to sit while they wait their turn. It's not a huge place, but we make it work. We spend a lot of our day here, seeing folks from around Gorwa who need a checkup or aren't feeling well. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but the medicine is what matters to us and our neighbors. We see a lot of regulars. Sometimes the fan in the corner makes a little clicking noise, but we’ve got used to it over the years. The Akash Ganga building has been around for a bit, and we’re glad to have a spot on the ground level. It makes it easier for the older folks to get in without having to deal with stairs or elevators. We keep the kettle going for tea in the back during the slow hours in the afternoon. It’s a quiet life most days, just doing what we can for the people who walk through that door from the street. We’ve stayed in Gorwa because it feels like the right place for this small clinic to be.
