Our office is right behind Jubilee Garden in the Raopura area. It is a good landmark for people who aren't familiar with these streets. We’ve been in this same spot for decades, and honestly, not much has changed inside the building. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, and the ceiling fan makes a clicking sound, but it’s home to us. We have stacks of files that go back years, and sometimes it takes us a while to dig through them to find what we need. It’s a small firm, so when the phone rings, it’s usually one of us who has been here from the start answering it. We don’t have a fancy reception area or a coffee machine. We just have a kettle and some mugs in the back corner. Raopura is always crowded, so we hear the bustle of the market all day long. We know the shopkeepers nearby and often stop to chat when we’re headed out for lunch. It’s a simple way of working. We don't use much technology beyond the basics because we like the old ways of keeping records. It’s a bit slower, but we feel more in control of the details. Some days are quiet and others are completely frantic, but that is just how the business goes. We’re just here doing our jobs and keeping things running as best as we can.
