Our place is at Plot 2 in G.I.D.C. POR. Being in an industrial zone like this means it’s always busy and there’s always a bit of a rumble from the neighboring factories. Imexsu Abrasive Pvt Ltd is mostly about grit and grinding materials. The floors are usually covered in a fine dust because that’s just the nature of the business. We spend the day cutting, sorting, and packing different types of abrasives. It’s physical work, and your hands definitely feel it by the time five o’clock rolls around. We have these large rolls of material that need to be handled carefully, and the machines we use for cutting are pretty loud. We don’t have any fancy signs or a big lobby. It’s just the warehouse space and a small area where we keep the paperwork. When a truck pulls up to the loading dock, we all pitch in to get the pallets loaded up. Sometimes it gets really hot in the summer, but we just keep the fans going and keep moving. We’ve had the same group of people working here for years, so we all know the routine pretty well. It’s not the cleanest job in the world, but it’s what we do. We just make sure the orders are packed right and sent off to whoever needs them. It might not look like much from the road, but we stay quite busy throughout the week.
