Working out of 101 Dandia Bazar in the New Collector Compound is definitely an experience. We are up on the first floor of Ramway Plaza, which is right on Marve Road. Malvani Colony is always bustling, and the noise from the traffic downstairs never really stops. Hiren R Parmar isn't some giant firm with hundreds of employees; it’s a more personal operation. The office has big windows, but we usually keep the blinds down because the afternoon sun hits hard. You can see the people shopping and moving about the plaza from the balcony area. Getting through the traffic to get here in the morning can be a real headache, but once you're inside, it’s mostly just focused work. We’ve got files everywhere and the printers are usually humming in the background. It’s not a shiny place, just a practical one where we spend most of our waking hours. The tea stall downstairs makes the best chai, and we probably drink too much of it during the day. Sometimes the elevator in the plaza acts up, so we end up taking the stairs, which is fine I guess. It’s a real community vibe here in the compound. Everyone knows everyone else's business to some extent. We just keep our heads down and deal with the tasks on our list. It’s honest work in a very busy part of the city. We appreciate the people who stop by to say hello and keep us connected to the neighborhood.
