Hinadalco Ind. Ltd (Birla Copper)

We are located out in Kavi Kamboya Tekara, which is in the Jambusar area of Bharuch. Hinadalco Ind. Ltd, specifically the Birla Copper part, has been a fixture here for a long time. It’s a big operation, but we try to keep things grounded on the floor. The work involves a lot of copper, obviously. It’s hot and loud sometimes, but that’s the nature of the industry we are in. We have a lot of people from the local villages working with us every shift. It’s a big part of the community in this district. We don't really go for all the corporate polish you see in the big cities. We just focus on getting the work done and getting the metal out. The road out here can be a bit bumpy depending on the season and the rain. We spend a lot of time making sure things are running right. It’s not always perfect though. Machines break down and we have to fix them ourselves. That’s just how it goes with heavy work. We don't have a marketing team writing fancy things for us. We are just industrial workers and office staff trying to do a good job. Bharuch is a tough place to work sometimes because of the summer heat, but we are used to it by now. We’ve seen the plant grow over the years. It’s just a regular part of our lives now. We keep things simple.
