We set up shop over at Galaxy Mill Compound in Gidc Halol because it's where all the industrial action is. It's dusty and loud most days, but that's just how the work goes. People come to us when they have things that need cutting properly. We have a few machines that do the job, and we spend most of our hours making sure the measurements are right so nothing goes to waste. It’s not fancy work, but it needs doing. Sometimes the machines act up or the power fluctuates, which is typical for Halol, but we manage to get through the orders anyway. My cousin helps out with the technical stuff, and I mostly handle the people coming in and out. We aren’t a big operation with suits and meetings. Most of our day is spent on the floor looking at blueprints or metal sheets. If you walk past the Galaxy Mill area, you'll probably hear the saws going. We’ve been here for a bit now and know the neighbors well. It gets hot in the shed during the afternoons, so we usually take a tea break around four. The work is steady and it keeps us busy from morning till evening. We don't do much advertising, mostly just people telling other people where to find us. That's fine by us. It's just a regular place where we cut stuff to size and try to keep things moving along without too much fuss or trouble. We’ve got some old benches for sitting and a calendar on the wall that’s usually a month behind.
