Haidar Ali P Kadri

My name is Haidar Ali P Kadri and I have a small place located in Subhanpura. We are right off the New Mumbai Pune Highway, very close to the Akshat Society. Being so near the highway means it is always noisy with trucks and cars rushing past, but it makes it very easy for people to find us. I have been around this area for a long time and I have seen it change a lot. It used to be much quieter before all these new buildings went up. My business is not some big corporate thing with a board of directors. It is just me and a couple of helpers trying to keep things moving day by day. We deal with whatever work comes our way. The dust from the highway gets into everything, so we spend a lot of time just keeping the place clean. I never wanted to be in a high-rise office building. This spot feels more real and grounded. We see a lot of people passing through on their way to Mumbai or Pune, and sometimes they stop in to ask for directions or help. I usually start my mornings early to beat the heat and check our supplies. Things do not always go perfectly, like when a machine breaks down or a delivery is late, but we just manage it. It is a plain and honest way to live.
