Growell Industries

Growell Industries is situated at plot 794 in the G.I.D.C. Industrial Estate in Makarpura. This estate is massive, so it took us a while to get settled when we first moved in. Now, we know all the neighbors and the local tea stall guys. We do our manufacturing and processing right here. The workshop floor is always busy with something. We have a few machines that have been with us since the start. They make a lot of noise, but they are dependable. We don't have a dedicated sales team or anyone to answer phones all day. Usually, if the phone rings, one of us just wipes our hands and picks it up. The floors are concrete and have some cracks, but they hold up the heavy equipment just fine. We have a small area in the back for the scrap metal and waste. It’s a practical setup. Makarpura is a good place for this kind of work because everything we need is close by. Sometimes we have to stay late to finish a batch, but mostly we stick to regular hours. We don’t use any complicated systems, just some notebooks and a whiteboard to keep track of what needs to be done. It’s a simple way of working, but it’s how we’ve always done it. We’ve got a small cat that hangs around the entrance sometimes. It’s just a regular workplace doing regular stuff. The radio plays in the background most of the morning. We hope the monsoon isn't too heavy this year.
