This is where we work, over on Sama Road in Vadodara. It’s a residential-feeling area since we are part of the Anushaktinagar colony. Being under the Department of Atomic Energy means things are usually pretty quiet around here. V P Kulkarni 73 is the specific spot. The building isn’t new, but it’s sturdy enough for what we need. Vadodara can be quite dusty, especially when the wind picks up in the afternoon, so we’re always dusting off the desks first thing in the morning. We have our tea breaks nearby, and there are some small shops on Sama Road if you need a quick snack or a pen. The office itself is full of cabinets and papers, like you’d expect from any government place. We aren't trying to be anything we’re not. It’s just a workplace where we show up, do the tasks assigned for the day, and then head home. The walk from the main gate of the colony can be a bit long if you're on foot, but it’s a nice enough walk when the sun isn’t too strong. We’ve got some plants outside the entrance that someone tries to water every few days, though they look a bit thirsty in the peak of May. It’s a functional environment. No one here is in a huge rush, but the work gets finished eventually. We just stay focused on what needs doing and keep to ourselves for the most part while we are here.
