We’re located at 2/1 in Arunodaya Society, which is a fairly quiet spot in Alkapuri. It’s a nice change from the noisier parts of the city. Gordhandas Desai Pvt. Ltd. has been around for decades, and we’ve been in this specific spot for a lot of that time. The building looks like a regular house from the outside, but inside it’s all business. We have rooms filled with technical catalogs and ledgers. It’s a bit old-fashioned, maybe, but it works for us. We deal with a lot of specific equipment, and the people who work here really know their stuff. We don't go in for big advertisements or anything like that. Most people find us because they’ve been coming here for years. The mornings are usually spent answering letters and emails. We take our lunch breaks together in the small courtyard out back. It’s peaceful. Alkapuri has changed a lot since we started, with new shops and buildings popping up everywhere, but our little corner remains pretty much the same. We like the consistency. We aren't trying to change the world; we just want to make sure the customers get exactly what they asked for without any fuss. It’s a steady pace of work. We keep the shelves organized and the records straight. That’s really all there is to it, honestly. It’s just how we operate day to day without needing anything fancy.
