Tight Well Fastners

We've been at Plot No. 718 for a good stretch now. It's just a regular spot where we handle all the fasteners. Most days start early before the sun gets too high because the shed can get pretty warm. Tight Well Fastners isn't a huge place, but it's ours. We have a few machines running and there is always that smell of oil and metal in the air. People come by looking for specific sizes, and we usually have what they need sitting on the racks. It’s a bit cluttered sometimes, but we know where everything is. My cousin helps out with the packing, and we try to get the orders out by the afternoon. The road outside can get a bit dusty when the big trucks pass by, but that's just part of being in this area. We don't have a fancy office or anything like that. Just a desk, a couple of chairs, and the workbench. Sometimes the power cuts out for a minute, so we just take a tea break then. It’s quiet work for the most part. We just keep our heads down and make sure the threads are right. If you walk past Plot 718, you’ll likely hear the sound of the metal bins clanking. It’s just us doing what we do every day. There is an old dog that hangs around the gate, and we give him some scraps from our lunch. The roof is made of corrugated metal, and when it rains, it gets so loud we can't even hear each other speak. We just keep going until it's time to lock up.
