Pragya Flexfilm Industries

We take up a fair bit of room here at Plot No. 109-112. Having four plots sounds like a lot, but once you get the film blowing machines and the printing presses inside, it fills up fast. Pragya Flexfilm Industries is all about that plastic and film work. You walk in and you can smell the poly and the ink right away. It’s a constant hum of rollers turning and plastic being wound onto big cardboard cores. We have to keep the floor clear because the rolls are heavy and we use trolleys to move them around. The lighting inside isn't the brightest, but we know where everything is. We don't have a receptionist or a lobby. If you come by, you’ll probably find one of us near the machines or checking the stock in the warehouse area. It’s a busy environment and things can get a bit messy when we are changing over a run. We try to keep the scrap under control, but it’s a process. Our workers are mostly local people who’ve learned the trade on the job. We don't write big reports or have long meetings. We just look at what needs to be produced for the week and get to it. It’s a practical way to run things. The gates stay open late many nights when we have a big deadline to meet and trucks are waiting.
