Our place, Ganesh Computer Forms Pvt. Ltd., is at Plot No. C1/b/223. We’ve been in the business of making those continuous paper forms for a long time. Even though everything is going digital, there’s still plenty of people who need the physical stuff. The sound of the printing presses is something you just get used to; it’s like a constant heartbeat in the background. We have stacks of paper everywhere, floor to ceiling in some parts. It smells like ink and recycled paper in here. We spend a lot of time making sure the perforations are right so the paper doesn't jam up in someone’s printer. It’s a lot of detail work that people don't really think about until it goes wrong. The building is just a standard industrial unit, nothing fancy at all. We have a small team, and most of us have been working together for years. We know each other’s families and what’s going on in the neighborhood. It’s a quiet life in a way, despite the noise of the machines. We don't go out looking for big awards or anything. We just want to get the orders out on time and keep the machines from breaking down. Sometimes the heat makes the paper curl a bit, so we have to be careful with how we store things. It’s just a practical, everyday job for us and we keep at it.
