Chirag Flex Pack

Chirag Flex Pack is based at Plot No. 536. Our day is mostly spent dealing with plastic films and printing machines. It’s a lot of rolling and unrolling big heavy cylinders. The smell of ink is pretty strong around here, especially in the afternoons. We started out with just one machine and eventually added another one when we got too busy. It’s not a fancy place. We have rolls of material stacked up against the walls and sometimes it’s hard to walk through the aisles. We don't have a dedicated sales person; if the phone rings, whoever is closest to the desk picks it up. We do a lot of packaging for different kinds of products, and we see a lot of local businesses coming in to get their bags made. We try to keep our prices fair because we know how hard it is for everyone else right now. Sometimes the colors don't come out exactly right on the first try, so we have to adjust the machines and start again. We don't use any high-tech automation; it's mostly us watching the machines to make sure nothing gets stuck. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday. We keep our coffee pot going all morning because the noise of the rollers can make you tired and you need that kick.
