T. S. Rangwala And Hardware

We've been at this spot on Gendigate Road for a good while now, right across from Chitte Khan Gali. If you know the area, it’s usually pretty busy with people moving around and cars honking. The shop is full of all sorts of hardware stuff, paints, and tools that people need for their houses or small repair jobs. T. S. Rangwala And Hardware isn’t a fancy place with bright lights and uniform shirts. It’s just us, surrounded by boxes and containers. Sometimes the aisles get a bit crowded when a new shipment comes in. We spend most of our day helping folks find the right size screw or a specific shade of paint that matches what they already have at home. It gets dusty, and the phone rings more than it probably should, but that is just how it goes here. People come in with broken parts or a list of things their plumber told them to get. We try to keep track of everything on the shelves, though sometimes it takes a minute to dig through a back corner to find that one specific pipe fitting. It is a local business, through and through. We know the neighbors and we know which roads are blocked off for construction this week. Nothing here is automated or high-tech; we just use our hands and talk to people face to face. It’s a simple way to make a living, and we’re okay with that.
