G N Hakim & Sons has been a part of the Raopura Kochar Market for a very long time. We are situated right opposite the Raopura Tower in Ropar. This is an older part of the city and the market is almost always buzzing with people and energy. Our shop has a lot of history behind it. You can see it in the old wooden counters and the way the floors have been worn down by years of people walking on them. We do not see any point in changing things just to make the place look more modern. We deal in all sorts of different goods and our inventory has changed many times over the decades depending on what people were looking for. It is a family-run place through and through. Most of us literally grew up working behind these counters. We do not use any fancy sales tactics or scripts. We just talk to our customers and help them find whatever it is they came in for. The Raopura Tower is a great local landmark so we never have to spend much time giving people directions. Sometimes the market gets so crowded that it is hard to move around, but that is just part of the charm of doing business in Ropar. We have seen generations of the same families come through our doors. It is a lot of hard work keeping the shop running but it is worth it.
