Furniture Systems

Our shop, Furniture Systems, is right in Fatehganj, across from the Convent School in Fatehsagar. It’s a lively spot, especially when the school lets out and the street fills up with kids and parents. We’ve been here for a while, surrounded by the smell of cut wood and furniture polish. The shop is usually full of desks, chairs, and cabinets we’re working on. It’s not a huge showroom like the ones in the malls; it’s a bit more crowded and real. We have pieces in different stages of being finished. Some are just raw wood, others are getting their final coat. People from the neighborhood stop in to ask about a custom shelf or a new bed frame. We spend a lot of time with tape measures and saws. Sometimes we get a bit behind on orders when the wood delivery is late, but we try to keep things moving. It’s a hands-on kind of place. We don't have a secretary in a suit; you’ll usually find us in the back with sawdust on our clothes. We like the local feel of being near the school. It makes the day go by faster. We just try to make stuff that lasts and fits into people's homes without costing them a fortune. It’s just us, some tools, and a lot of wood, day in and day out. We wouldn't want to be anywhere else but here in Fatehganj, making things for the people around us.
