Everest Magnetic is tucked away in L-7 at GIDC Odhav. If you know the Odhav industrial area, you know it’s a lot of dust and trucks moving back and forth all day. We spend our time working with magnets of all sorts. It’s strange work if you think about it, but for us, it’s just the daily routine. The shop floor is usually covered in metal bits and tools. We aren't some big shiny factory with glass walls. We’re in the thick of it here in GIDC. My hands are usually a bit dirty by lunch, and that’s fine. We make magnets for different industries, and we try to keep things moving so nobody is waiting too long. Sometimes the power cuts out or the heat gets to be a bit much, but we manage. People come to us because they need something specific and we usually have it or can figure it out. We’ve been in Odhav long enough to know most of the neighbors. It’s a practical place for a practical business. We don't spend money on fancy advertisements or big signs. Most people find us because someone else told them we’re over at L-7. It’s just about getting the work done and getting home at the end of the shift. The magnets keep us busy enough, and that’s plenty for us. There is always a lot of clinking and clanking going on, but that is just part of the job.
