Elb Schliff (India) Limited

Our building is located right next to the Roses Garden on Chhani Road. It’s a bit of a landmark for us because when the flowers are in bloom, you can actually smell them from our gate. Chhani Road is a busy route, but our spot is slightly set back so it isn't as loud as the main junction. Elb Schliff (India) Limited operates out of a space that feels more like a warehouse than a polished office. We have high ceilings and concrete floors that stay cool even when the sun is beating down outside. There is always the sound of metal clicking or a forklift moving somewhere in the back. We spend a lot of time checking parts and looking over technical drawings on the big wooden tables we have. The tea guy comes by twice a day, and that’s usually when everyone takes a ten-minute break to sit on the benches outside. It’s a simple setup. We don't have any decorative plants inside or fancy artwork on the walls. We just have shelves full of tools and equipment. The gate needs a bit of oil because it creaks every time someone comes in, but we haven't gotten around to fixing that yet. Most of us have been working here for years, and we know exactly where every single tool is kept. It’s just a regular day-to-day operation for the team here. We keep a stack of old newspapers in the corner to wrap small parts before they go into the boxes.
