Devi Paints Hardware

You can find us right in the middle of the Main Market. Being at Devi Paints Hardware means we see a lot of people every day. The shop is always full of cans of paint and different tools. It’s a bit crowded in here, but we know where everything is kept. If someone comes in looking for a specific bolt or a shade of blue, we can usually find it under a pile of something else. The market is always noisy and there’s always someone shouting outside. We like being in the center of things. It’s a local shop, so we know many of the faces that walk in. We don’t really use a computer for everything; sometimes we just write things down in a ledger. It's the old way of doing things, but it works for us. We started out small and stayed that way. There's no fancy display window here. Just shelves and shelves of stuff people need for their homes. From brushes to pipes, we try to keep a bit of everything. Dealing with hardware means our hands are usually a bit dirty by the end of the day. It’s honest work. The morning starts early here because the market wakes up early. We open the shutters and get things ready for the first customers. It’s just how life is for us working here in the Main Market.
