Deepa Shah

I'm Deepa Shah. I work out of Rangoli Bhavan. It's located at Soni S Chawl, right near the Char Rasta in Dandia Bazar. It is a very lively part of town. There is always something going on outside the window. The sounds of the market and the people walking by are just part of the day. My space is inside the chawl, so it has that old feel to it. The walls are thick and the ceilings are high. I've set things up so I can work comfortably. It isn't a modern office with glass walls. It's more traditional. I have a big table where I spread out everything I’m working on. Sometimes it gets a bit messy when I’m in the middle of a project. I don't mind it. I’ve been in Dandia Bazar for years. I know the shopkeepers nearby. We all look out for each other. If I need a break, I just step out to the Char Rasta and watch the world go by for a few minutes. I don't really have a big staff. It's mostly just me and occasionally someone to help with deliveries or heavy lifting. I like the pace here. It’s fast but familiar. People know where to find me if they need something. I don't do any big promotions. Word of mouth is how most people find their way to Rangoli Bhavan.
