Chistiya Bags

Our little shop, Chistiya Bags, is tucked away in Roshan Nagar. We are right behind Ashapuri in the Shaniwar Peth area, near Channi Naka. It’s not the easiest place to find if you aren't from around here, but the locals know us well. We make and sell all sorts of bags. We’ve got backpacks, school bags, and some travel stuff too. The sewing machine is usually running in the back room. You can hear the hum of it while you browse. We started out small and stayed that way because it's easier to manage. We use different materials depending on what we can get. Some are heavy-duty, others are lighter. We don't put out big catalogs. Usually, people just come in and tell us what they need, or they pick something off the shelf. It’s a dusty neighborhood sometimes, but we keep the bags covered. Life here is simple. We open up, have some tea, and get to work. Sometimes the neighbors drop by just to chat for a bit. We don't have a big corporate structure or anything. It's just us doing what we know how to do. If a strap breaks, people bring it back and we fix it if we can. We try to be helpful. It’s just a regular local business trying to make a living in Shaniwar Peth. We’ve been here for years now and don't plan on moving.
