Chandrakant D Patel

I have been situated in Mandvi Mangal Bazar for a long time. My name is Chandrakant D Patel and my workspace is right near the Vysaji Khadki outside area. If you have ever been to Vadodara you know that the bazar is always packed with people and stalls. It is a lively place to be but it can be exhausting if you are not used to the heat and the crowds. I have lived and worked in this area for most of my life so I know all the shortcuts and the best places to grab a quick snack. My office is quite small and it is tucked away where it stays a bit cooler. I don't have any fancy air conditioning, just a big old ceiling fan that wobbles a little when it is on high. It is a practical space where I keep all my ledgers and records. I like being near Vysaji Khadki because it feels like the heart of the old city. People are always coming and going and there is a lot of history in these streets. I don't spend money on marketing because everyone around here already knows who I am. I just do my work honestly and try to help out when I can. Some days the paperwork feels like it will never end but I just take it one page at a time. It is not a glamorous life but it is mine and I am happy with it.
