Capital Chhata Udyog

We are right in the thick of Sadar Bazar, at 1216-1217, Sheet No. 11. If you have ever been to Sadar Bazar, you know how crowded it gets with people and carts everywhere. Our place, Capital Chhata Udyog, is mostly about umbrellas. We have boxes of them stacked up to the ceiling sometimes. It gets especially hectic just before the monsoon season starts because everyone is looking for cover. The shop isn't very big, so we have to be clever about how we stack things. It’s loud outside and there is always someone shouting or a bell ringing. We’ve been in this spot for quite a while, so we know most of the other shopkeepers around us. We don't have a website that does anything fancy or a big advertising budget. People find us because we are right here in the market where they expect us to be. The floors are a bit uneven and the lighting could be better, but it works for what we do. We spend our days opening and closing umbrellas to check them and talking to people who come in from all over. It’s a lot of manual work and standing on your feet for hours. But that’s what a business in Sadar Bazar looks like. We just keep going, rain or shine, and make sure we have enough stock for the next rainy day.
