B. V. Industries

Our workshop is right across from F.A.G. in the Maneja area. It’s a heavy industrial zone, so there’s always the sound of welding or grinding in the air. We do various industrial jobs here. It’s a pretty basic setup with a high ceiling and a concrete floor. We’ve got some old machines that still work better than the new ones, or so we like to think. It’s usually covered in a layer of fine dust, no matter how much we sweep. The guys wear overalls and they’re usually covered in grease by noon. We started out small and haven’t really changed much over the years. We just take the orders that come in and try to finish them before the deadline. It’s hard work, especially when the power goes out, which happens more than it should. We don’t have any fancy brochures or a sales team. People just know we are across from F.A.G. and they drop by when they need something fabricated or fixed. We have a small cabin in the corner where we keep the records and take our lunch. It’s nothing special to look at, just a place where work gets done. We’ve been part of this industrial community for a long time. It’s a rough environment but we’ve made a decent life out of it. There is always a lot of clanging and banging going on, but you get used to that.
