AMITA Chemicals

AMITA Chemicals is out in the Gorwa BIDC Estate, specifically at unit 41381. It’s an industrial area, so it’s mostly warehouses and factories around us. We’ve been operating from this spot for quite some time. It’s not a retail shop where people just walk in off the street. We deal with various chemical supplies and industrial materials. The office is small and tucked into the front of the warehouse. It smells a bit like plastic and cleaning fluid inside, but you get used to it. We spend a lot of time on the phone or checking inventory in the back. The floors are concrete and have some stains from over the years. We use a lot of heavy shelving to keep everything off the ground. It’s a practical setup. There are no decorations on the walls, just a calendar and some safety notices. My father started this place, and I took over later on. We have a few guys who help with the loading and unloading when the trucks arrive. The road outside gets very muddy when it rains, which is a nuisance for the drivers. We aren't a big corporation. We’re just a small family business trying to keep things moving in the estate. It’s hard work and the hours are long, but it’s what we know how to do. The Gorwa BIDC area is quite dusty, so we have to wipe down the desks every morning. It’s not the most beautiful place to work.
