All India Roadways

Our spot is at B-18 Fatepura, right on Airport Road. We are inside the Shreeji Market. It’s a lively place to be, surrounded by all sorts of shops selling everything from electronics to spices. All India Roadways has a small unit there. It gets quite noisy because of the market and the planes taking off nearby, but you get used to it after a week or two. We have a simple desk and a few stools for when the drivers come in to get their papers. The floor is tiled but some are cracked from moving heavy equipment over the years. We keep a calendar on the wall with everything marked in red pen. It’s not a fancy setup at all, just very functional. Shreeji Market is a central hub, so we see all kinds of people throughout the day. We usually grab lunch from one of the stalls downstairs—the food is cheap and filling. The office can get a bit hot in the summer because the sun hits our side of the building in the afternoon. We just turn the fan on high and keep working. People know us as the guys in B-18. We don’t do much advertising; word of mouth in the market is enough. We’ve been part of the Fatepura landscape for quite some time, just doing our job and staying out of trouble.
