The Sugar Fancies

We’re located at Corner Point, specifically shops 4 and 5. It’s right on Jetalpur Road in the Alkapuri area. This is where we do all our baking and sweet stuff. The kitchen is usually a bit of a mess with flour and sugar everywhere, but that’s how it goes when you’re making things from scratch. Alkapuri is a nice part of town, always lots of people walking by. We get a good mix of folks coming in for a quick treat or to order something for a party. The smell of the oven usually drifts out onto the sidewalk when the wind is right. We have a few tables, but most people just take their boxes and go. It’s just a few of us working here. We start early in the morning before the sun is even up to get the dough ready. By the time the shops on Jetalpur Road open, we’ve already got the first batch in the display. We don’t use any fancy machines, just basic tools and our hands. Sometimes things don’t come out looking perfect, but they taste like they should. We’ve been at this spot for a while now. It’s a busy corner, especially in the evenings when everyone is headed home. We just keep our heads down and keep baking. It’s what we know how to do. We hope to stay on this corner for years. Sometimes we run out of things by noon.
