Our office is tucked away in the Trimurti Apartment, right behind the Alka Restaurant in Alkapuri. If you know Vadodara, you know this area gets pretty busy, especially around lunchtime when everyone is out for a bite. We’ve been operating from this ground floor space for a while now. Dealing with fabrics and exports means there’s always a lot of paperwork and phone calls to handle. It’s not exactly the most exciting stuff to talk about, but it’s what we do. We have rolls of samples tucked into corners and boxes waiting to be sent out. Sometimes it feels a bit cramped when a big shipment is coming in, but we make it work. The staff here is small, mostly people who have lived in the city their whole lives. We don't really have a big corporate setup. It's more about sitting at the desks, checking the quality of the weaves, and making sure the export documents are actually correct. Sometimes we grab snacks from the shops nearby during our breaks. The street outside always has something going on. We don't use a lot of big words to describe our business because it's just about getting the cloth from here to wherever it needs to go across the sea. It’s a steady rhythm of checking orders and talking to suppliers. We just keep our heads down and do the work day after day.
