Akash Computers

Akash Computers is tucked away on the ground floor of the Monalisa Complex in Sayaji Gunj. If you know where the World Trade Centre is, we are just a short walk from there. We’ve been working out of this Plot No Gf 7 space for quite some time now, mostly handling repairs and parts for laptops and desktops. It’s a small shop, and honestly, the back room is usually full of old monitors and spare cables that we haven’t figured out where to put yet. It gets pretty loud in here when the fans are running on the machines we are testing. Some days are slower than others, but mostly there’s someone coming in with a cracked screen or a slow hard drive. We don’t go for any of that high-end corporate decor. It’s just a few desks, some soldering irons, and a lot of coffee cups scattered around. Sayaji Gunj is a busy part of town, so there’s always people walking by and noise from the street. We try to keep the glass clean but with the dust, it’s a constant battle. If you come by, you’ll probably see me or one of the guys sitting at the bench with a screwdriver. We just like fixing things and seeing them work again. It’s not a complicated business. We just stay open until the last job is finished, which sometimes means we're here until late evening. The neighborhood has changed a lot since we started, but our little corner remains pretty much the same.
