About Kabir Plumber – Architect, Interior & Structural Design in Vadodara
I don't really have a big office building to show off. My work is all over Vadodara. Usually, my days start early in the morning with a phone call about a leaky pipe or a bathroom that’s flooded. I keep my tools in the back of my transport and head out. I know most of the shortcuts around the city by now. Plumbing isn't pretty work. It involves a lot of crawling under sinks and getting wet or dirty. I’ve seen all sorts of problems in houses and small shops around here. Sometimes it’s a simple fix and sometimes I have to go out and find a specific part that’s hard to get. I just go where the work is. Vadodara is growing fast, so there are always new pipes being laid and old ones breaking down. I don't have a staff of people answering phones; it’s usually just me. If I'm busy with a wrench, I might miss a call and have to call back later. I’ve lived in this city my whole life and I know how the water systems usually run in the older neighborhoods. People know me by name rather than a company logo. I don’t use any special tricks, just my hands and what I’ve learned over the years. It’s just a way to make a living and help people get their water running again. No more, no less.
