Our office is tucked away just off Princess Road here in Vadodara. It’s a place where we spend a lot of time thinking about how spaces work. We call it an atelier because it’s more of a workshop feel than a corporate office. There are sketches pinned to the walls and models sitting on most of the flat surfaces. Being in Vadodara means we deal with a lot of different types of building sites. Some are narrow, some are wide, and each one has its own set of problems to solve. We don't spend much time on fancy marketing. Most of our work comes from people just seeing what we’ve built around town. The team is a mix of people who have been here for years and some younger ones who are still learning the ropes. We drink a lot of tea while we argue over where a wall should go or how the light hits a room in the afternoon. It’s not a quiet place, especially when several projects are happening at once. Princess Road is a familiar landmark for us, and being just off the main path keeps things a bit quieter so we can actually focus on the drawings. We just keep our heads down and focus on the technical side of architecture. It’s hard work, but seeing a project go from a messy sketch to a real building is why we stay in this business.
