You can find A R Shailesh Parikh over at 901 on Padra Road, right by the Mangal Bazar area. Being on the ninth floor means we have to spend some time waiting for the lift, but it gives us a decent view of the city once we are up here. The office itself is pretty simple. We have some sturdy wooden desks and a lot of shelves filled with old files and reference books. It is not a modern, high-tech space, but it has everything we need to do our jobs properly. We spend most of the day handling paperwork and making sure everything is in order. It is a steady kind of work that requires us to pay attention to the details. We are just regular people who have been working in this area for years. We know the local shops in Mangal Bazar well and often go down there to get lunch. The office can get a bit warm in the summer, but the ceiling fans keep the air moving well enough. We do not have a big team or any complicated hierarchy. We just work together to get through the day’s tasks. There is always a lot of talk about current events or what is happening in the neighborhood while we work. It is a very normal, down-to-earth environment where we just focus on doing what is required of us without any fuss.
