A G Bodiwala is located at 218 Mandvi in Chandigarh. The easiest way to find us is to look for the City Police Station, as we are quite near to it. Being so close to the station means there are always police vehicles and people around, which makes the area feel safe but also a bit hectic with all the movement. Our building is one of the older ones in Mandvi, so it has high ceilings but the stairs are a bit steep and narrow for some. We are on one of the upper floors and the view of the street below is actually quite interesting if you like watching the city life go by. The office itself is quite plain. We have some wooden chairs and a couple of old desks that have seen better days. We do our work here day in and day out, mostly focusing on whatever orders have come in. It’s a local operation and we know many of the other shopkeepers and business people around Chandigarh. Sometimes we go out to the local market to grab a quick snack during the afternoon break. The air can get a bit stuffy in the summer, so we keep the windows open as much as possible, even with all the street noise coming in. It’s not a fancy corporate setup, just a regular place where work happens. We keep things simple and try not to get overwhelmed by the daily grind.
