Karuna Hospital

We are tucked away in the Panachamood area of Chettikulangara. It’s a nice part of the world to be in, honestly. The hospital is a familiar sight for the locals here. We have been operating out of this building for a long while now. It isn't the biggest hospital you’ll ever see, but it fits the needs of our small community just fine. Every morning, the staff arrives and gets the clinic side of things ready. There’s a certain rhythm to the day here. You hear the sounds of the town waking up outside while we are checking our supplies inside. We have a handful of doctors who have been with us for years, so they know the history of almost everyone who walks in. It makes things feel a bit more personal, I think. We don't really go for that polished, clinical look that some of the new places in the big cities have. Our floors are a bit worn in places, and the chairs in the waiting room have seen better days, but it’s clean and it works. People come to us because we are close by and they trust the faces they see behind the desk. We just do our work, day in and day out, without making a big fuss about it. Whether it is a fever or something a bit more serious, we just take it as it comes. It’s just how we do things here in Panachamood. We stay focused on the patients and keep the doors open for anyone needing help.
