Scil Kochi

We are located at Maslaha Manzil in Chombala, which is near Vatakara in the Calicut district. It’s a very traditional Kerala setting, very different from the big city offices you see in the news. The house is where everything for Scil Kochi happens. You’ve got the greenery all around and the weather is usually quite humid, especially when the rains start during the monsoon. It’s a quiet area compared to the main town. Most of us who work here are locals from the district. We don’t have a formal reception or a big sign outside. It’s more of a community-based setup where everyone knows everyone else. We spend our time managing the local requirements and keeping track of our records. The house has that old-school architecture which keeps it somewhat cool inside even without much ventilation. We usually have our coffee breaks together and talk about the local news or what's happening in the village. The commute is mostly by bus or scooter along those winding Kerala roads. It’s not a fast-paced environment where people are shouting into phones all the time. We just go about our business in a steady way. Vatakara is a nice place to be based out of, even if it feels a bit far from the main Kochi hub. It’s just our way of operating from this part of the state, keeping things simple and honest.
