Our office is situated at 32/B, D.J. Road in the Bhadrakali area. Calcutta is a city with a lot of character, and you can really feel that around here. K.L. Yadav & Co. has been operating from this spot for quite some time now. The building is older, with high ceilings and heavy fans that have been running for decades. It gets very humid here, especially during the monsoon months, so we just get used to the dampness. The 712232 area is always bustling. You hear the constant honking and the shouting of street vendors outside all through the day. Inside the office, we just focus on our ledgers and client files. It’s a very straightforward operation. We don’t have much in the way of modern decor or fancy lights. The furniture is mostly heavy wood and very functional. We spend our mornings catching up on the local news and then getting into the piles of work. People in the neighborhood often stop by just for a quick chat or some water. It’s that kind of friendly place. We don't put on any airs about being a big firm with global reach. We just do the work that needs doing for the people who come to us. Sometimes the paperwork gets a bit disorganized, but we always find what we need eventually. It’s a steady pace of life. We like being part of the fabric of Bhadrakali. Every evening, we shut the heavy doors and head home.
