We’ve been here in Majali for quite a while now. Our office is actually inside the Ganalaxmi Jewellers building right on the Main Road in Karwar. It is a busy spot but people find us easily enough. Being in Uttar Kanara means we deal with a lot of local folks from the area. Usually, someone just walks in or calls to ask about what we are doing on that particular day. There are a few of us working here. The space is a bit cramped because of all the files and old paperwork we keep stacked in the corners, but it gets the job done for us. Sometimes the power goes out, which is just how it is around here in the summer. We try to keep things moving though, even when the fans stop. If you are coming from the post office side, just look for the big jewelry shop sign and you will see our entrance. It is nothing fancy at all, just a few desks and plastic chairs where we sit and go through everything. We don't really have a big reception area or anything like that for visitors. People just come in and sit down wherever they can find a spot. Most of our days are spent talking to clients or going through piles of documents. It can get pretty noisy when the market outside is full, but we are used to it by now. We just handle the work as it comes in.
