Our office for Krushi Nirantara Animal Husbandry Farmers Producer Company Limited is in the Dr Shivaswamy Building over in Devikere, which is part of Sirsi. It’s a quiet enough area in Uttara Kannada. We are a group of farmers who focus on animal husbandry. Mostly, we deal with whatever the local farmers need for their livestock. Being a producer company means we try to stick together to get things done. It’s better than trying to do it all alone. The building is easy to find if you know the landmark. We spend a lot of time talking to the guys in the village about their cows and other animals. There is always some problem to solve, whether it’s feed or health issues. We aren't corporate people with suits. We wear our everyday clothes and get our hands dirty. The work is steady. Sirsi is a good place for this kind of thing because there are so many small farms around. We keep our paperwork in the office but we’d rather be outside. It's a lot of responsibility to look after the interests of so many farmers. We just take it one day at a time. The main thing we do is keep the animals healthy and the farms running. If you’re passing through Devikere, you’ll see our door. It’s a plain setup, but it works for what we need to do. We don't have any big slogans. We just meet up, talk about the problems, and try to find a way to fix them together.
