Apov Foundation

Our foundation is based in Barkot, way up in Uttarkashi. We are at House Number 65 in Ward Number 6, right near Tiladi Road. The house belongs to Anandi Godiyal. Being up here in the mountains means things are a bit different than they are in the plains. The winters are very cold and the roads can be tricky when the weather turns, but we like it here. We started this foundation just to help out with local issues that pop up. We do not have a big staff, just a few local people who know the area and the families well. We spend a lot of time walking to different parts of the ward to see how people are doing. Sometimes we help with local events or just provide a bit of support when someone is having a hard time. The house is quite old but it is sturdy enough. We have a small room where we keep all our records and supplies. 249141 is the zip code for those who need to send us anything. It is a very practical setup. We do not have a website or anything fancy like that. We mostly just talk to people face-to-face. That is how things get done in Barkot anyway. We focus on being useful. If there is a problem with a local path or someone needs help getting to the clinic, we try to step in and help. It is not about being a big charity; it is just about being good neighbors.
