Borlaug Vision Farmers Producer Company Limited

We are over here at Dulal Jote, set up at Asit Singha’s place. It’s a quiet spot but we stay busy enough with the farming work. Being a farmers producer company means a lot of us from the local area come together to figure out how to get things done better. It started because we realized doing everything alone was getting too difficult. Now we talk about seeds and what to plant when the weather changes. We have the name Borlaug in our title because we respect the history of farming, but mostly we are just regular people working the soil. It's not a fancy office or anything like that. Just some rooms where we meet up. Sometimes the rain makes it hard to get around, but we manage. We look at the crops and try to make sure everyone in the group has what they need for the next season. It is a lot of talking and planning, mostly over tea and snacks. We don't have a big staff, just neighbors helping neighbors. Most days you’ll find someone here checking on bags of supplies or looking at the books. It’s practical work. We’re not trying to change the whole world, just making sure our families and the other farmers around here can keep going. If you’re passing through the village, you’ll see us. It’s just how things are done in this part of the country now. It’s a bit messy sometimes with all the paperwork, but we are getting there slowly.
